This is a photo I took when I was on vacation in Vietnam. It’s an avocado tree. I chose this image because I believe it is beautiful. It’s something not everyone is able to see. It’s simple yet very lovely. I guess this photo can represent nature and life. Things that represent nature include the leaves, the branches, the seeds, the actual fruit and the sky. These things also represent life. Each plant starts off as a seed and grows with the help of water (or rain) and some sunlight (from the sky). Year after year the plants grow taller just like people. Some will develop branches and leaves. Some will blossom and have fruits. When the seeds fall off the tree/plant, another lifecycle starts.

There was an international contest in 1989 for the new national library building of Belarus. Architects M.K. Vinogrdov and V.V. Kramarenko and their project “Belarusian Diamond” won the contest but it took them many years later till the project was fulfilled. This is a 23-storey library designed in a form of a rhombicuboctahedron (diamond) and “symbolizes the enormous value of knowledge that mankind has stored in books”. It is measured up to 72 metres high. It also features a 500 seat conference hall. The building is covered with glass panels. All 24sides light up with eye-catching LED displays. The LED light fixtures are controlled and operated on a standard pc through custom design software. The tourist attraction is the 22nd and 23rd floors (public observation decks) as it offers panorama of downtown Minsk and the forests surrounding the city.
It is a dress-coat inspired by the Japanese kimono and a western style trench coat. The coat is designed for special events like a fashion show or award ceremonies. Since this coat is usually worn at night and these types of ceremonies only require a small amount of lighting, the materials used for the coat must be able to attract some light so that the coat is noticeable and appealing. The coat constructed in blue purple patterned polyester features a tightly fitted bodice with a low neckline edged with a permanently pleated green nylon symmetrically flared collar. The calf length skirt features five fully lined overlapping layers, cut on a circle to fit snugly at the waist and hips and flare at the hem. The edge of each layer is defined my gold piping. To further emphasise the asymmetry and versatility of the garment, there is a single, large rectangular sleeve, corded with gold at the lower edge which can be detached when not required. The focal point of the coat is the embroidered dragon at the waist, and encircled obi-like sash.
