Crysis v1

Mashup

Power is the ability to perform or act effectively. It provides strength, control and authority. People with great power have distinctive creative sensibility. Those who use it appropriately can create significant positive changes in the world that makes the world a better place. With this power, they can spark conversation, inspire sharing and bring us closer by transforming how we connect to each other.

ARCHITECTS AND CONCEPTS

Kengo Kuma: Horizontality and low scale of the building complements the discreteness and invisibility of the architecture.

Alvar Aalto: Verticality of the elements stresses importance in the landscape.

ELECTROLIQUID AGGREGATION

"Being low can be seen as invisible but it does not mean it doesn't exist. The highlights in the environment can be seen through this irony with the help of vertical elements."

TEXTURES USED

Light

When something is 'invisible', it seems 'non-existent'. The black details on this texture are overpowered by the surrounded white space making it look small and concealed.

 Medium

The 'highlights' are usually 'emphasised''. Black and white are contrasting colours. When the texture is repeated, the black highlights the brightness of the white while the white emphasises the darkness of the black.

 Dark

'Invisible' does not mean nonexistence but it can mean being 'unnoticeable'. This texture looks like a woven texture. It seems unnoticeable due it its plain, simple continuous pattern.

Adding small detail elements to monuments

"The highlights in the environment can be seen... with the help of vertical elements" - I added some vertical elements to Kengo Kuma's low scaled monument. The detail vertical elements follow a pattern similar to the shape of the joined monuments.
